PROCEDURES

We will work with our clients to design a detailed set of Assignment Instructions (AIs) to support the client security operation. We have a suite of Standard Operating Procedures to enable a swift and effective response to a range of security-related matters.

DSS officers are provided with an Employee Handbook that sets out the DSS expectation on workplace behaviour and underpins our company culture. The Handbook also includes information about appropriate workplace behaviour and escalation procedures.

All DSS security officers are SIA Door Supervisor licenced and all close protection officers hold an SIA Close Protection Licence and first aid certificate. All members of the DSS team are security screened to BS7858. This ensures each officer has been vetted and completed fundamental training in safeguarding, the law, and emergency procedures.

As part of the Door Supervisor training, all officers obtain certification in Emergency First Aid at Work. The DSS annual training event, which all full-time officers attend, develops further skills such as mass casualty first aid triage and first aid for corrosive substances.
